Battle at Kurakhove: Ukrainian defenders burn Russian convoys in intense assaults
Russian forces near Kurakhove in the Donetsk region are advancing against Ukrainian positions in armored convoys, which Ukrainian defenders are systematically destroying, including enemy troops on board, according to Orest Drymalovsky, representative of the 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade
“The Tavria paratroopers have practically opened a portal to hell for the occupiers near the village of Kostiantynivka, close to Kurakhove. The Russians continue sending convoys into that area. Yesterday, our soldiers burned two tanks and three armored vehicles along with their crews and damaged another vehicle,” Drymalovsky said.
According to him, this is not the first large-scale mechanized assault attempt this week but rather the third or fourth time that Russian forces have deployed such extensive equipment.
“On Monday, the Russians suffered heavy losses, losing 12 armored vehicles, including a modernized BMPT Terminator. Our forces had long targeted this vehicle and finally managed to hit, immobilize, and destroy it on the battlefield,” Drymalovsky noted.
He added that the situation near Kurakhove remains tense, with Russian forces testing Ukrainian defenses daily and launching attacks in an effort to encircle the town further.
