Last night, Russia again used ballistic missiles and various types of drones against Ukraine. Most of the UAVs were successfully neutralized, but a considerable number of hits were still recorded, according to a report by the Ukrainian Air Force.

The new Russian air attack began at 06:00 pm Kyiv time on October 20.

This time, Russia attacked Ukraine with:

  • Iskander-K cruise missiles;

  • 186 Shahed attack drones, including 88 jet-powered drones;

  • S8000 Banderol/Dan-T missiles;

  • Gerbera drones;

  • Parodiya decoy drones.

Russian missiles and drones flew from the airspace over the Rostov region, Oryol, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and the occupied areas of Donetsk, Hvardiiske, and Chauda in Crimea.

Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces, were involved in destroying the enemy targets.

According to the latest data, as of 08:30 am, Ukraine's air defense had neutralized 150 Russian drones, including Shahed drones (63 of them jet-powered), S8000 Banderol/Dan-T missiles, Gerbera drones, and other types of UAVs.

The Ukrainian Air Force emphasized that 10 Russian attack drones were still in the air and efforts to shoot them down were ongoing.

"Hits by enemy aerial attack weapons were recorded at 27 locations, while debris from downed targets fell at 13 locations," the defenders emphasized.

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that Russia launched a new attack on Kyiv overnight on October 21, leaving people dead.
