Azerbaijan handed over demining vehicle, Revival P, to Ukrainian rescuers
Аzerbaijan has handed over a new tracked mine-clearing vehicle called Revival P to Ukrainian rescuers, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
"Azerbaijan has handed over the Revival P mechanized demining vehicle to rescuers from Poltava region," the SESU statement said.
It is also reported that representatives of the equipment manufacturing company have arrived in Ukraine to provide training for Ukrainian specialists. After the training process is completed, the special vehicle will be sent to assist SESU sappers who are conducting humanitarian demining in the de-occupied territories.
Assistance in demining for Ukraine
Through the Russian invasion of Ukraine and active hostilities, the country has become contaminated with explosive remnants of war. Some analysts consider Ukraine the most mine-affected country in the world.
At the end of September, Switzerland approved a package of $110 million for demining activities in Ukraine. The funds will be provided from 2024 to 2027.
It was also previously reported that Norway announced financial assistance for demining in Ukraine, providing $18.5 million. Additionally, for demining purposes, Ukrainian rescuers received four demining vehicles of the MV-4 and MV-10 models from the Korean International Cooperation Agency.
