What foods should not be eaten in the evening

Dermatologist Kate Jameson said that the seemingly harmless habit of snacking on high-glycemic foods late at night accelerates the aging process. Popular snacks that many people reach for before bedtime may be the culprits.

Eating high-glycemic foods, such as pizza, chips, or cookies, right before bed can cause insulin levels to spike and lead to inflammation, which can have a significant impact on the health and appearance of the skin.

Choosing healthier foods can help maintain youthful, supple skin.

Research has linked diet-induced inflammation to collagen breakdown and increased oxidative stress. Both of these factors can accelerate skin aging.

According to Kate, you should also avoid chocolate and energy drinks before bed. Instead, she named some healthier alternatives to curb nighttime cravings without compromising skin health:
