Attacks across 14 regions on civilians: Zelenskyy appeals for real international action

As a result of the new massive strike of Russia on Ukraine, residential buildings and civilian infrastructure in 14 regions were damaged. Against peaceful life, almost 540 drones, 8 ballistic and 37 other missiles were used, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"In Zaporizhzhia, all services are engaged at the site of the Russian strike on a five-story residential building. Unfortunately, as of now, it is known that one person has died and dozens have been injured, including children. Again, an ordinary residential building," the president explained.

He noted that this night, air defense forces and emergency services also worked in other regions. From the strike, Volyn, Dnipro, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Rivne, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi, and Chernihiv regions were affected.
"Many fires occurred, mostly affecting civilian infrastructure: houses, enterprises. Almost 540 drones, 8 ballistic and 37 missiles of other types were launched by the Russians against ordinary life," he added.
Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine has already seen the world’s reaction to the previous shelling.
"But now, when Russia again shows that it does not care about words, we count on real actions. It is clearly understood that the time allocated for preparing the meeting at the level of leaders, Moscow used for preparing new massive strikes," the president emphasized.
According to the head of Ukraine, the only way to again open the window of opportunity for diplomacy is tough tariffs against everyone who pumps the Russian army with money, and effective sanctions against Moscow itself: banking and energy.
"This war will not stop from political statements – real steps are needed. We are waiting for the actions of America, Europe, and the whole world," the president underlined.
It should be recalled that on the night of August 30, the Russians carried out a massive missile-drone attack on Ukraine. Under shelling were Kyiv, Lutsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, and other regions of the country.
In particular, it is known that because of the attack of the Kyiv region, a number of trains are delayed and will arrive at the Kyiv station with a delay of up to 2 hours. Among the trains, there are also international routes.
Russian invaders also massively shelled Zaporizhzhia. The aggressor used strike drones, as well as ballistic and cruise missiles.
