The Atesh movement has claimed a sabotage operation on a railway in Russia's Rostov region, which, according to their data, resulted in the destruction of a locomotive near the Likhovskaya station.

The partisans stated that the locomotive is now beyond repair. The Russian side has not officially commented on the information.

According to Atesh, the Likhovsk railway junction is used for the transit of military cargo, including ammunition, fuel, and equipment that may be directed toward the Zaporizhzhia front sector.

The movement estimates direct losses from the destruction of the locomotive at more than $150,000. At the same time, they claim that actual losses could be higher due to potential disruptions in logistics.

"Every unit of traction counts — and now it is gone," the partisans emphasized.

According to them, disabling the locomotive could have led to a shutdown of traffic on the section, leaving part of the trains stranded in the rear.

"While Russian Railways is looking for a replacement, Russian frontline units remain without the promised resupply of ammunition. Blow after blow, we will destroy Putin’s fascist system from within," Atesh concluded.

It is worth noting that on the night of April 9–10, a repair and mechanical plant in occupied Perevalsk in the Luhansk region was attacked. According to the Atesh movement, despite formally being idle, Russian forces were using the facility to repair military equipment. After the strike, damage was recorded at the site, and its extent is still being clarified.
