'Are you a paper tiger?' Trump mocks Putin in front of US generals

US President Donald Trump spoke about one of his conversations with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, during which he hinted that Russia is a "paper tiger" during his address to US generals.
Trump once again said he is very disappointed in Putin, as he believes the Kremlin leader should have ended the war against Ukraine.
"I said to him, 'You know, you don’t look good. You’re four years fighting a war that should have taken a week. Are you a paper tiger?'" the US President said.
It is worth noting that a "paper tiger" usually refers to someone who appears very threatening but lacks real strength.
Russia is a "paper tiger"
On September 23, US President Donald Trump compared Russia to a "paper tiger," saying it has been fighting aimlessly for more than three years.
In the American leader’s view, in such a situation, real military power should have achieved victory within a week.
Trump also stressed that Ukraine could fully restore its territorial integrity, as Russia is facing serious economic problems.
Commenting on Trump’s remarks, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov claimed that Russia is more often associated with a bear, and there is no such thing as a paper bear.
