The US continues supplying weapons to Ukraine. The deliveries have not been halted amid the war in the Middle East, said President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy while answering journalists’ questions.

"As for US weapons supplies, they have not stopped. I am grateful to our partners for this. We are in contact with the negotiators," the Ukrainian President said.

According to him, Ukraine expects the negotiation process with the United States to continue, including in a trilateral format, with Russia’s participation as well.

"As for PURL, there is a shortage. Air defense is insufficient. Recently, we signed a strong package with Germany, but the timelines there are strategically disadvantageous for us, while the tactical deficit needs to be covered by other means — we have to look for other sources," Zelenskyy noted.

He added that the United States continues to support Ukraine through this program.

Impact of the Middle East war on supplies to Ukraine

Just yesterday, April 22, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an interview with CNN that the US war with Iran had disrupted the delivery of certain weapons for Ukrainian defenders.

In particular, this concerns interceptor missiles for air defense systems.

The Ukrainian President recently noted that Ukraine is currently facing a critical shortage of Patriot systems capable of intercepting enemy ballistic missiles.
