Apps that drain your smartphone battery the most
Experts from the DxOMark portal conducted research, identifying the most energy-consuming applications and categorizing them based on their purpose, according to MySmartPrice.
Which apps consume the most battery power
The research was conducted on smartphones of two categories: mid-range devices priced from $300 to $400 and flagship models with a price exceeding $800. Specific model names are not disclosed, but it is noted that all of them were released in 2023.
According to the results, the main culprits for battery consumption in the mid-range category are SMS, especially on lower-priced devices.
In terms of energy consumption, Facebook Messenger and Snapchat Chat occupy the second and third positions in the list, followed by Instagram Chat and WhatsApp (in that order). Flagship devices experience more significant battery drain with these applications.

All mentioned programs actively utilize at least one of these functions.
