Angelina Jolie plans to put up for sale the luxurious mansion of legendary director Cecil B. DeMille, which she purchased in 2017 for $24.5 million, writes Page Six.
What is known about Cecil B. DeMille's estate
Located on a plot of more than two acres in the prestigious Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles, this home, built in 1913, belonged to the creator of the film "The Ten Commandments" for over forty years.
Until DeMille died in 1959, stars of classic Hollywood lived and worked here.
The estate, measuring over 11,000 square feet, includes six bedrooms, ten bathrooms, four fireplaces, a spacious wine cellar, a tea house, formal gardens, and a swimming pool with fountains.
The windows offer a view of the Griffith Observatory.

During the pandemic, Jolie lived in the mansion with her children and also hosted friends there who were forced to leave their homes due to massive wildfires.
In an interview with British Vogue in 2021, the actress explained her choice of this house by its proximity to her former husband.
"I wanted it to be close to their dad, who is only five minutes away," she noted, referring to Brad Pitt.
Jolie also admitted that she felt a certain pressure when moving here.
"Like I had snuck into where DeMille and [Charlie] Chaplin would hang out. I love most that there is no entertainment room, but lots of pathways and places to walk and think. I feel very fortunate we have that at this time," the star shared.
After DeMille's death, the house remained in his family's possession and was later meticulously restored, preserving original details, like delicate moldings, wooden paneling, and French arched doors.

The actress bought the estate after a high-profile divorce from Pitt in 2016, when the couple began a years-long legal battle over property division and child custody.
Although most disputes were settled last year, they are still resolving issues concerning the French winery Château Miraval, worth $500 million.
The price for which Jolie plans to sell the house has not yet been disclosed.
