AirPods with cameras and iPhone Ultra: Apple’s biggest upcoming surprises

Apple will hold its annual September event tomorrow, where it is expected to announce the first foldable iPhone Ultra. The event will be the first major test for John Ternus as CEO, according to TechCrunch.
What to expect from the iPhone Ultra
Apple’s first foldable smartphone has been in development for more than five years and, according to leaks, will cost more than $2,000.
According to analysis by tech reviewers, the device will feature a 5.5-inch outer display that unfolds into a 7.8-inch screen, similar in size to an iPad.
To maintain a slim body, developers had to make certain technical compromises.
The smartphone will lose its telephoto lens, with developers retaining only the main and ultrawide cameras, while Face ID will be replaced by a Touch ID scanner built into the side button.
Key technological features of the flexible flagship:
- The display has been redesigned so that the crease where the screen folds is virtually invisible.
- The device supports MagSafe wireless magnetic charging and full multitasking with two windows.
- The operating system is iOS, while performance is powered by a processor used in the MacBook Neo.

Premium iPhone 18 models and new AirPods
In addition to the foldable flagship, Cupertino plans to update its standard smartphone lineup. Apple is expected to initially release the premium iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models, while the base model will be introduced six months after the September event.
The accessories lineup is also set for major changes thanks to the integration of an upgraded Siri voice assistant powered by Gemini technology. Apple is also preparing new HomePod smart speakers and updated earbuds.

The cameras will serve as “eyes” for artificial intelligence, allowing it to analyze the surrounding environment and store visual information at the user’s request.
