Air alert in Kyiv and other regions: Russia launches Shahed drones
Kyiv and several northern, central, and southern regions have been put on air alert this evening, December 19. It is reported that Russians have launched kamikaze drones, according to Kyiv military administration.
The Ukrainian Air Force has warned of the threat of attack drones in the Kyiv region heading toward the capital from the north.
The Kyiv Military Administration confirmed that the air alert in the capital is related to the use of kamikaze drones by Russians.
Night attack on December 19
In recent weeks, Russians have been attacking Ukraine with Shahed drones more frequently. Last night, the enemy launched two kamikaze drones that were destroyed by Ukrainian air defense forces.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the kamikaze drones were flying from the south through the central regions in the direction of Starokostiantyniv, Khmelnytskyi region.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the drones were launched from the area of Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the Russian Federation and destroyed by air defense forces in Khmelnytskyi region.
