Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, visited one of the most intense areas of the frontline. He said that decisions were made to enhance the effectiveness of the defense.

The Commander emphasized that Ukrainian soldiers continue to courageously hold back the Russian aggressor, inflicting significant losses on the enemy.

Syrskyi awarded soldiers of the 25th Separate Airborne Sicheslav Brigade, who have shown resilience and professionalism in neutralizing the occupiers in one of the hottest sectors of the frontline.

"During my time with the brigade, many decisions were made to strengthen the resilience and effectiveness of our defense," Syrskyi said.

Situation on frontline

Russian occupying forces have continued their offensive on the frontlines in recent months. The Russians are focusing on the Donetsk region, applying pressure near Toretsk and Pokrovsk. Recently, it was reported that Ukrainian forces withdrew from Vuhledar.

In the past 24 hours, there have been over 140 combat engagements on the frontline. The most active areas remain Toretsk, Pokrovsk, and Kurakhove.

Additionally, Ukrainian forces continue operations in the Kursk region.
