Afraid of new attacks? Motorboats escort Russian ships to Crimea
Raptor boats have begun escorting Russian Black Sea Fleet ships to Crimea, according to the Telegram channel Crimean Wind.
According to reports, the Russian Black Sea Fleet's KIL-158 collector vessel arrived in Yalta yesterday, June 4, from the east, accompanied by two Raptor boats.
"Now all ships and vessels of the Russian Black Sea Fleet make transitions only under the escort of fast boats," the report says.
The Telegram channel believes that this is how the Russian occupiers are trying to protect their ships from Ukrainian naval drones.
Situation with Russian ships in Crimea
Russian forces were forced to transfer about 15 of their ships from Crimea to Novorossiysk in September 2023 after a successful strike by Ukrainian defense forces on the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
Since then, Novorossiysk has become an important shipping hub for the occupiers. However, this transfer only worsened the situation for the Russian naval group. On May 17, 2024, Ukrainian special services attacked the seaport in Novorossiysk, the oil refinery, the oil terminal, and the power substations in Sevastopol and Tuapse.
