Love stories of celebrities often seem perfect only at first glance. Behind beautiful red carpet photos, there can sometimes be high-profile cheating scandals, public apologies, divorces, and controversies that fans discuss for years.
RBC-Ukraine reports on celebrity couples whose relationships were destroyed by public infidelity scandals.
Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson
In the late 2000s and early 2010s, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson were one of Hollywood’s most beloved couples.
Their real-life romance seemed like a continuation of Bella and Edward’s story from the film “Twilight” for fans.
However, in 2012, the couple’s relationship became the center of a major scandal. Paparazzi photos appeared online showing Kristen embracing “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders, who was married at the time.
After the images were published, the actress issued a statement apologizing to Pattinson.
“This momentary lapse of judgment has put at risk the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I am so sorry,” she said.
After the scandal, Kristen and Robert briefly reconciled, but the following year they ultimately broke up.

“I set my universe on fire and watched it burn,” the actress said.
At the same time, she added that she is proud of having been able to move forward after a difficult period in her 20s.

In 1996, while the actor’s family was away, Schwarzenegger cheated on his wife with their housekeeper, Mildred Baena. She later became pregnant. Around the same time, Maria was also pregnant.
Schwarzenegger later said that he initially believed the child’s father was Mildred’s husband.
However, when the boy was about seven or eight years old, he began to notice his resemblance to himself.
Despite this, Schwarzenegger kept the truth from his wife for a long time while financially supporting Mildred.
