Since the beginning of the day, August 1, there have been 76 combat engagements along the front line. The Russian forces are actively operating in the Pokrovsk and Toretsk directions, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Currently, the highest enemy activity remains in the Pokrovsk direction. Since the beginning of the day, there have been 36 instances of clashes of varying intensity.

Fighting is still ongoing in nine locations around Novooleksandrivka, Ivanivka, Vozdvyzhivka, Svyrydonivka, Zhelanne, and Yasnobrodivka. Throughout the day, Russian aviation has been striking Ivanivka, Novotroitske, Hrodivka, and Tymofiivka with guided aerial bombs. Additionally, the enemy has conducted four airstrikes with multiple launch rocket systems towards Oleksandropil.

Situation in directions

In the Kharkiv direction, there were two enemy attacks in the Vovchansk area. The fighting continues, and the situation is under control.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy unsuccessfully attempted to advance towards our positions in the area of Andriivka throughout the day. Three attacks by the enemy are still ongoing near Stelmakhivka and Pishchane. In total, five clashes have been recorded in this direction. The Russian troops dropped aerial bombs on Novoosynove and Petropavlivka.

In the Lyman direction, the aggressor has increased the number of attacks to three. Fighting occurred near Makiivka and Torske.

In the Siversk direction, the enemy made two unsuccessful attempts to breach our defenses near Vyimka. Clashes are still ongoing near Spirne, Ivanodarivka, and Verkhnokamianske in five locations. The situation is under control.

In the Kramatorsk direction, our defenders continue to repel the enemy's attack near Chasiv Yar. In the areas of Klishchiivka, Ivanivske, and Andriivka, the enemy suffered losses and withdrew.

In the Toretsk direction, there were 12 assaults in the areas of Pivnichne and New York, where the enemy is still attacking. Additionally, the Russian forces were repelled near Zalizne and Toretsk. The latter and Dyliivka were bombarded with guided aerial bombs eight times. Moreover, the invaders struck Dyliivka three times with army aviation weapons.

Fighting continues in the Kurakhove direction. Four assaults were repelled near Krasnohorivka, Paraskoviivka, and Kostyantynivka, with the enemy suffering losses.

In the Vremivka direction, the aggressor did not conduct active offensive operations. Instead, enemy aviation delivered seven strikes near Bohoyavlenka, Novodonetske, and Neskuchne.

In the Orikhiv direction, there were two unsuccessful clashes for the Russian army in the area of Mala Tokmachka. Additionally, the enemy launched about fifty unguided aerial rockets towards Pyatykhatky, Hulyaipole, and Lobkove.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, our defenders repelled one assault on the left bank of the Dnipro River.

Frontline situation

As of the morning of Thursday, August 1, 156 combat clashes were recorded, with one-third occurring in the Pokrovsk direction.

According to specialists from the Institute for the Study of War, there is evidence of Russian forces advancing near Kupiansk. At the same time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have likely neutralized a Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group in the Chernihiv region.
