Original cast
One of the biggest pieces of news for fans is the possible return of the star-studded cast. Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, and Ice Cube are currently in talks to join the new film.
In addition, producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who worked on the first two installments, are also returning to the project. Neal H. Moritz will also once again be among the producers. This same team originally helped turn “21 Jump Street” into one of the most successful comedy franchises of the decade.
Beginning of the story
The first “21 Jump Street” film was released back in 2012 and told the story of two young police officers who were sent undercover to work in a high school. The characters had to go back to school to solve a case involving the distribution of a dangerous substance among teenagers.

The success of the film led to a sequel released in 2014. In the second part, the characters played by Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum are sent on a new assignment — this time undercover at a college.

Both films were well received by audiences and performed strongly at the box office, which quickly made the story one of the most popular comedy franchises.
