10 Ukrainian cities where you can see breathtaking sunsets

When the sun touches the horizon, familiar cities take on a whole new look. From seaside promenades to Carpathian slopes, Ukraine has plenty of places where the evening sky turns the landscape into a real postcard.
RBC-Ukraine has rounded up popular cities known for their spectacular sunsets.
Lviv
Lviv is especially beautiful at the end of the day. One of the best places to watch the sunset is Vysokyi Zamok, which offers panoramic views of the city's historic rooftops, church domes and narrow streets.
As the sun goes down, Lviv takes on warm golden hues and looks truly magical.
Lviv is located on elevated terrain, so the city has plenty of natural viewpoints. This makes it possible to watch the sunset with almost no obstacles.

Kyiv
The capital offers several wonderful locations for evening walks. Some of the best places to watch the sunset are Volodymyrska Hill, the pedestrian and cycling bridge, the Dnipro River embankment, and Trukhaniv Island.
At this time of day, the sun reflects off the water, while the city skyline becomes especially picturesque.

Odesa
Perhaps the most famous Ukrainian sunsets can be seen in Odesa. The beaches of Arcadia, Lanzheron and Fontan attract hundreds of people every evening who come to admire the sun slowly sinking into the Black Sea.

Kamianets-Podilskyi
The ancient fortress looks especially majestic against the evening sky. Before sunset, its stone walls take on a golden hue, while the canyon of the Smotrych River adds even more atmosphere to the landscape.
The fortress stands on a high rocky promontory, offering a wide view of the sunset. Nothing blocks the horizon, allowing you to watch the sun slowly disappear beyond it.

Bakota
Bakota in the Khmelnytskyi region has long been a favorite destination for Ukrainian travelers. Here, the sun sets over the Dniester Canyon, creating incredible panoramas of cliffs, water, and green hills.
