'Horrible': Trump responds to Ukrainian refugee murder in America

US President Donald Trump reacted to the murder of 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska, who fled the war to the United States. The young woman was fatally stabbed with a knife, reports Fox News.
During a brief interaction with reporters, Trump was asked about the video of the murder of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska.
"Horrible. I haven't heard. When did this happen?" replied the American president. The reporter clarified that the video only recently became publicly available, although the crime itself occurred back in August.
In response, Trump promised to look into the matter.
"I see the video. And I'll know all about it by tomorrow morning," said the president.

What is known about the murder of the Ukrainian woman
In Charlotte, North Carolina, on August 22, 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska, a Ukrainian citizen who had moved to the US after the Russian invasion to escape the war, was murdered.
The tragedy occurred at the East/West Boulevard light rail station in the South End district. According to surveillance footage released on September 5, the attacker took out a knife and stabbed Zarutska three times in the neck while she was listening to music with headphones. The young woman died at the scene from her injuries.
The suspect in the murder is 34-year-old Dekarlos Brown Jr., a homeless man with a long criminal history.
According to court records, he had been arrested multiple times for grand theft, armed robbery, and threats, and served five years in prison for robbery involving deadly weapons.
He also had unresolved charges for misuse of the 911 system. On the day before the trial, the court even questioned his mental fitness to stand trial.
Police detained Brown after providing medical assistance, and he was charged with first-degree murder. The motives for the crime are currently unknown, and the investigation is ongoing.
