Explosions heard in Kyiv - Air defense in operation

On the night of December 5, explosions and air defense activity were heard in Kyiv. The Russians are once again attempting to attack the capital with drones, according to the Kyiv City Military Administration and its own correspondent.
"In Kyiv, an air raid alert is sounding due to the threat of enemy UAVs. We ask residents to head to shelters and remain there until the alert is lifted," the message at 00:08 AM stated.
At the same time, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that drones were flying toward Kyiv past Brovary from the northeast.
Later, at approximately 00:30 AM, a series of explosions and air defense activity was heard in Kyiv.

As of 00:34 AM, the air raid alert map looked as follows. As seen, the alert remained in effect in Kyiv region, as well as in Chernihiv, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Donetsk regions.

Late in the evening on December 3, an air raid alert was also declared in Kyiv, after which the air defense systems in the capital engaged. The alert was likewise triggered by a drone attack.
According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russians launched two Iskander-M missiles and 138 drones at Ukraine during the night of December 4. As of 9 AM, air defense forces had shot down and suppressed 114 drones.
