Explosions reported in Odesa as Russian drones targeted city

Explosions rocked Odesa as Russian Shahed attack drones approached the city, according to Suspilne and Odesa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov.
"Odesa, please stay in safe places! The city is under attack by enemy UAVs!" Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov wrote at 2:51 AM Kyiv time.
He later clarified that the central part of Odesa and the Peresyp district were under threat of strikes.
At 3:17 AM Kyiv time, the air raid alert in Odesa and the Odesa region has been lifted.
Russian drone attacks
Russian forces continue to launch air strikes with Shahed kamikaze drones against Ukrainian cities.
During the night of October 2, Russian troops deployed Shahed drones across Ukraine.
Around midnight, they attacked the Kyiv suburbs, injuring a 50-year-old man in one of the regional districts.
Earlier, on the evening of October 1, the invaders struck an energy facility near Slavutych, causing a three-hour blackout at sites of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant.
