Zelenskyy: Trump knows Ukraine cannot swap land with Russia

US President Donald Trump understands that Ukraine cannot trade territories with Russia, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an interview with Fox News.
The Ukrainian head of state said he had a good conversation with President Trump.
"Trump understands that we cannot just swap territories. I think his position has changed," Zelenskyy noted.
Trump's shift on war
On Tuesday, September 23, Zelenskyy met Trump in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. Among the topics discussed were prospects for ending the war in Ukraine.
Zelenskyy said that following this meeting, Trump’s attitude toward the war had shifted. He explained that Trump had begun to trust Russian President Vladimir Putin less, since the Kremlin leader had been providing him with inaccurate information about the situation.
Trump himself wrote on Truth Social that Ukraine could regain its occupied territories, and perhaps go even further.
