Since the beginning of 2025, Ukraine’s Defense Forces have continued to successfully repel Russian offensives, eliminating more than 305,000 soldiers and nearly 30,000 units of equipment, according to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.

According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, in the first eight and a half months of 2025, Ukrainian defenders eliminated more than 305,000 Russian servicemen. This figure highlights the effectiveness of Ukraine’s defensive operations and the professionalism of its troops.

"The Defense Forces of Ukraine are destroying the enemy: since the beginning of the year, over 305,000 troops have been neutralized (305,630)," Syrskyi wrote in an official statement.

He added that Ukrainian forces also inflicted heavy losses on Russian equipment. Nearly 30,000 enemy vehicles were destroyed in this period, significantly undermining Russia’s logistics and mobility on the battlefield.

Syrskyi shared combat footage showing the destruction of Russian personnel and equipment, stressing the skill and resilience of Ukrainian troops.

"At the same time, we are dismantling Russian logistics: in 2025 alone, 29,095 enemy vehicles have been destroyed. I thank our soldiers for their professional combat work. The fight continues. Glory to Ukraine," the Commander-in-Chief noted.

These figures reflect the systematic efforts of Ukrainian units to neutralize threats and demonstrate the scale of Russia’s losses, strengthening Ukraine’s position at the front and boosting the morale of its defenders.

Earlier, Syrskyi dismissed the commander of the 17th Army Corps, Volodymyr Sylenko, and the commander of the 20th Corps, Maksym Kytunin. He also emphasized that Ukrainian troops continue to repel Russian attempts to reinforce their positions in Donbas by neutralizing units redeployed to the front.
