The Russian army launched a massive drone and missile attack on Kyiv overnight on Thursday, August 28, destroying a five-storey building in one of the city’s districts, according to mayor Vitali Klitschko.

In Darnytskyi district, a five-storey residential building sustained destruction from the first to the fifth floors, Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported. According to him, emergency services were heading to the scene.

Damage was also recorded in other districts of the capital. As of 4:40 AM Kyiv time, four people were reported injured and one person killed.

Ukraine remains under a massive Russian Shahed drone attack, with launches reported from several directions.

Around 3:00 AM Kyiv time, Russia also fired several ballistic missiles at the capital.
