Will Israel keep striking Iran without US support? Politician weighs in

Israel likely won't halt its operation to eliminate Iran's nuclear facilities even if the United States refuses to take part, stated Zion Alon, leader of the Israeli political party A-Hazon, in a comment to RBC-Ukraine's YouTube channel.
"I believe that regardless of whether the United States helps us or not, the Israel Defense Forces will continue until we are confident that Iran's nuclear program is either completely destroyed or pushed back by many years," Alon emphasized.
According to him, it will be difficult for Israel to destroy the nuclear program without targeting the Fordow facility, which is estimated to be located 50 to 100 meters underground.
He noted that Israel does not possess the 13-ton US bunker-buster bombs, nor does it have the aircraft capable of carrying them, such as the American B-2 or B-52 bombers.
"As a result, we are either forced to develop some alternative scenarios, or just wait for the United States, when President Trump finally abandons the illusion of being able to strike a deal with Iran and moves from words to action. Because Trump's rhetoric changes three times a day — we all know that perfectly well," the politician added.
Israel's operation against Iran
Last week, Israel launched an operation Rising Lion against Iran.
One of its main goals is to destroy Iran's nuclear facilities to prevent the country from acquiring nuclear weapons.
Notably, some of Iran/s nuclear sites are located deep underground, and the weapons currently in Israel's arsenal are not capable of destroying them.
