Russian forces, after several months of pause, have begun using heavy equipment for assaults in the Lyman-Bakhmut direction. The enemy is suffering significant losses there, states Andrii Otchenash, the commander of the Kara Nebesna (punishment from heaven) drone crew from the Rubizh 4th Operational Brigade, in a comment to the RBC-Ukraine YouTube channel.

He mentioned that in the Lyman-Bakhmut direction, Russian troops had not stormed the positions of Ukrainian defenders using heavy equipment for 2-3 months.

"Now they have started using this equipment. In three weeks, 25 units of equipment, including BMPs, tanks, BTRs, MTLBs, and others, were destroyed specifically in the direction where the Rubizh brigade is holding the defense," Otchenash specified.

According to him, such actions by the enemy indicate that they have been accumulating heavy equipment to gain "certain advantages" from it.

"But again, realistically, the only thing they have gained is a pile of destroyed equipment and a large number of servicemen who performed acrobatic stunts and set world records in high jumping," the soldier emphasized.

What preceded this

The main focus of the Russian army is still around Pokrovsk, where they continue their attempts to advance.

At the same time, the Bild news agency spread rumors that the enemy had allegedly managed to breach the defense of Chasiv Yar. This information has already been denied by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
