Air defense and billions in aid: What Ukraine will receive from 27th Ramstein meeting

Today, the 27th Ramstein meeting of Ukraine and its partners took place. As a result, new military aid packages were announced, along with the creation of another coalition, according to the Ministry of Defense.
At the beginning of the meeting, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the partners, thanked all the participants, and emphasized the critical need for additional Patriot systems.
He said that today, only these air defense systems can protect Ukrainian cities from ballistic missiles, which the Russians use to kill civilians and destroy infrastructure and residential buildings.
Since the previous meeting, partners have announced over $21 billion in security assistance to Ukraine. 51 countries have joined together to do it.
Following the meeting, partners announced new support:
- Germany: In 2025, Germany will provide 4 IRIS-T air defense systems and 300 interceptors for these systems. Germany will also supply 30 Patriot missiles, 15 Leopard-1 tanks, 25 Marder infantry fighting vehicles, and an additional 100,000 artillery shells. In total, the additional assistance will amount to 11 billion euros by 2029.
- The United Kingdom will provide £450 million in aid: hundreds of thousands of drones, radar systems, and the repair of previously supplied equipment.
- Norway has allocated £100 million to fund the aid package announced by the United Kingdom. Overall, Norway has increased its military support in 2025 by €5 billion. It also announced €1 billion in aid, including for ammunition and air defense/anti-missile systems.
- Belgium has announced a military aid package worth €1 billion.
- Denmark announced the 25th military aid package, valued at nearly €900 million.
- Lithuania plans to allocate €20 million for the purchase of ammunition.
- Estonia will soon provide Ukraine with 10,000 artillery shells, as well as dry rations for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
- The Netherlands is allocating €150 million to strengthen Ukraine's air defense.
Another important outcome is the creation of the EW Coalition under Germany's leadership.
"This is an important decision that meets the demands of the time and strengthens our soldiers on the front lines. Together with our partners, we are building a strong defense for Ukraine that brings us closer to victory and a just peace," stated the Ministry.
Ramstein meeting
It is worth noting that another meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group took place today in Brussels.
As previously reported, during the meeting, Germany announced a new aid package for Ukraine, committing to provide additional IRIS-T air defense systems and missiles for the Patriot missile defense systems.
At the same time, US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth was unable to attend the meeting in person due to his schedule.
