Russia names date and location for next Ukraine peace talks

Russia says the next round of talks on ending the war in Ukraine is planned for Abu Dhabi in the first half of November. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said the meeting would bring together representatives of Ukraine, Russia and the United States. He gave no further details on the agenda or format of the planned negotiations. Peskov said potential participation by a European Union envoy would depend on Brussels' position. He added that any comprehensive settlement would need to address the security concerns of both Russia and Ukraine.
