Zelenskyy visits Kropyvnytskyi: Topics discussed
On Monday, February 5, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived on a working visit to Kropyvnytskyi, according to the head of state on Telegram.
"The Kirovohrad region is one of those regions that actively helps the country to survive both economically and in terms of security. The region is restoring the potential of its enterprises," Zelenskyy wrote.
According to the president, during his visit, the main issue was assistance to internally displaced persons. The president reminded that there are almost 90 of them left to live in the Kirovohrad region. In his opinion, it is very important to preserve and create working cities for them.
"We talked separately about the protection of critical infrastructure facilities and the strengthening of air defense. It is important to build up electronic warfare systems," the president said.
Payments for IDPs
The state budget pays a monthly housing allowance of 3,000 hryvnias for people with disabilities and children and 2,000 hryvnias for all other internally displaced people (IDPs).
About 2.5 million people are currently receiving payments. It is expected that 1.5 million people will receive them after the government's decision.
