Ukrainian defenders can surprise and achieve results. The proof is their actions on the battlefield, says President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during the presentation of the Army+ app.
“Everyone sees that the Ukrainian army can surprise. And it can achieve results. This is shown on the battlefield, where our warriors have not only withstood the overwhelming force of the occupiers but are destroying it in a way that is necessary to defend Ukraine – our state and independence,” the president said.
He added that the courage of the soldiers and the natural desire of Ukrainians to find the best course of action contributed to the success of the Armed Forces.
Backstory
Over the past few days, rumors have been spreading online about a breach of the Russian border in the Kursk region. The Russian Federal Service and the ministry of defense accuse Ukrainian soldiers of entering the region.
Against this backdrop, photos of destroyed Russian equipment and videos of soldiers being taken prisoner in the Kursk region appeared online.
Ukraine has not officially commented on the situation yet. The US State Department said that Kyiv had not warned Washington of its intentions to launch an operation in the Kursk region.
