Zelenskyy: Ukraine could end war by winter with US support

Ukraine has a chance to end the war with Russia within the next two months, but it will need assistance, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated.
According to the president, Kyiv currently has a real opportunity to achieve a just peace for Ukraine.
“We have a chance to stop and end this war before winter, if... There are several ‘ifs.’ Of course, the first ‘if’ is always will. The will of the United States, especially the president (US President Donald Trump — ed.), specifically about the political will to end [the war],” Zelenskyy stressed.
Despite this, the Ukrainian president noted that when it comes to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, will alone will not be enough.
Against this backdrop, Zelenskyy once again called on Ukraine’s allies to increase pressure on the Kremlin leader.
“The second ‘if’ is technologies. We need some technology from the United States. We have our own experience, and we are always ready to exanche, but we need something from the US. We need a ‘winter package’: missiles for Patriot systems. Only the United States now produces them,” Zelenskyy said.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that Zelenskyy outlined a clear condition for an energy ceasefire with Russia.
Meanwhile, during his speech at the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, US President Donald Trump said that the war in Ukraine would end “sooner than people think”.
