Truck drivers in Russia were unaware of their participation in the large-scale special operation Spiderweb . During the operation, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) attacked the enemy's strategic aviation with drones, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated in an interview with ABC News.

FPV drones used for strikes on Russian airfields were disguised in specially equipped containers with folding roofs. They were delivered to launch sites by trucks.

After that, the roofs of the "modular houses" were remotely opened, and the drones flew to their targets.

According to Zelenskyy, the truck drivers in Russia were unaware of their role in the Ukrainian operation.

"The drivers didn't know. They just did their job," Zelenskyy noted.

Historic SBU operation

Recall that on June 1, the Security Service of Ukraine carried out a unique special operation Spiderweb. During the operation, FPV drones launched a massive attack on four Russian airfields — Belaya, Dyagilevo, Olenya, and Ivanovo.

As a result of the strikes, 41 aircraft were hit—Tu-95, Tu-22M3, and A-50. The SBU claims that Russia’s losses may exceed $7 billion, and the attack disabled a third of Russia’s strategic aviation.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that only Ukrainian weapons were used in the special operation Spiderweb.
