Ukraine has agreements with Western Balkan countries following the Ukraine - South-East Europe summit. This includes strengthening artillery, citing President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a press conference with the Prime Minister of Albania.

"Today, as a result of the meeting, as a result of this summit, we have specific agreements, including strengthening Ukraine and Ukrainian artillery," he said.

Zelenskyн emphasized that Ukraine supports the integration of Western Balkan countries into the EU.

"We need more confidence from the democratic world, more confidence in our own abilities. Our unity, our alliances, all of this matters. Every nation that aspires to be part of the European and Euro-Atlantic community and shares the common values of Europe and Euro-Atlantic deserves full integration. Ukraine supports the integration of Balkan states," the president added.

Zelenskyy's visit to Albania

The arrival of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Albania became known overnight on February 28. He participated in the Ukraine - South-East Europe summit, where leaders of Albania, Serbia, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro were also present.

Zelenskyy proposed to the Western Balkan countries to hold a joint defense forum.

In addition, the head of state met with the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama. The sides signed a friendship and cooperation treaty between the two countries.

Prior to his visit to the Western Balkans, the Ukrainian leader visited Saudi Arabia.
