Zelenskyy at school: President's childhood photos revealed
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was an ordinary child with dreams and ambitions that later helped him achieve great heights.
On the occasion of the leader's 47th birthday, RBC-Ukraine offers a glimpse into what he was like as a child.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy was born and spent his childhood in Kryvyi Rih. From an early age, he was a cheerful and creative boy.
His mother, Rimma Volodymyrivna, shared in an interview that little Vova happily attended kindergarten, where he was always the center of attention and easily got along with everyone.

The future comedian and president, even as a child, easily gathered other kids around him at kindergarten, creating fun games, telling funny stories, and joking.
When he returned home, he enjoyed playing with kitchen utensils. The old Soviet meat grinder particularly intrigued little Volodymyr, and he could spend a lot of time with it.

The president's mother also shared that during his school years, Volodymyr eagerly attended classes and was particularly interested in the humanities, despite his father being a mathematician.

"He was a talented boy! He had no problems with any subject — he studied everything on his own, but there was definitely more of an inclination towards the humanities. Although his father is a mathematician," she shared.
Zelenskyy's grandmother, Olga Semenivna, recalled that as a child, he showed remarkable energy and talent. The boy was interested in music, practiced weightlifting, danced, and collected stamps.
"Alexander Semenovych was good at lifting weights in his time, and his son also took up weightlifting. Vova earned his first grade in weightlifting, but then stopped because he was afraid it would stunt his growth. He collected stamps — we still have so many albums left! He loved going to summer camps and brought home a bunch of certificates: he always participated in everything and had a talent for gathering people around him and involving them in activities. He was into music and played the piano," his grandmother shared.

The future president, like most children, would sometimes misbehave at school and even skip classes.
At the same time, he was a responsible student and served as the class monitor. As a result, he was the first to be reprimanded by teachers for any minor mischief.
