As of now, Ukraine has not received an official response from the United States regarding the latest proposals for a peace plan, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

He noted that some signals are coming through the negotiating team.

“No, I have not yet received a response from the United States. I have heard several messages through my negotiating team. But I receive all signals and will be ready for dialogue, which will begin today,” Zelenskyy said.

The president уточified that an active diplomatic day is already starting today in Berlin.

“Today we have a Ukraine-US day in Berlin. Of course, I will separately meet with Chancellor Merz and will probably meet with some of our European leaders later in the evening,” he added.

According to the head of state, Ukraine remains committed to continuing dialogue with its partners and is ready to discuss further steps toward a peaceful settlement.

US peace plan

The White House administration has prepared a draft peace agreement as a basis for ending the war. The initial version consisted of 28 points.

After feedback from Ukraine and European partners, the document was revised and shortened to about 20 points.

Zelenskyy said that Ukraine, together with EU countries, has finalized its own vision for a peace settlement and will submit it to the United States in the near future. According to him, three documents are currently being coordinated in parallel: a framework agreement, security guarantees, and a post-war recovery plan.

It also became known that US President’s special envoy Steve Witkoff will meet in Berlin with European leaders and Zelenskyy. The meeting is of key importance in the context of the White House’s efforts to achieve peace in Ukraine.
