Without American assistance, it will be difficult for Ukraine to counter Russia's aggression. Ukraine is counting on the help of United24 ambassadors to work with the US Congress on this issue, states Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to Zelenskyy, with other conflicts and events in the world diverting the international community's attention from Ukraine, it is important that United24 ambassadors continue their work focused on Ukraine.

"And about Congress. Without this support from Congress, it will be difficult for us to stay here, let alone win. So it is important to do very definite things together. And of course, I want to give you a message and ask you to think about what we can do together publicly - maybe some strong messages, some strong steps - to draw the attention of the Congress and the Americans to Ukraine," he said.

US aid to Ukraine

The US Congress has been unable to approve new funding for Ukraine for several months now. As a result, the supply of weapons to Ukraine from the United States has been virtually suspended.

The US Senate has already passed a bill that provides about $60 billion in pro bono aid to Ukraine. The document needs the support of the House of Representatives to become law.

Speaker of the House Mike Johnson still refuses to put such an initiative to a vote. He has repeatedly stated that he wants to consider aid to Ukraine in conjunction with money to protect the American border from migrants.

At the same time, Politico wrote that congressional Republicans are increasingly supporting the idea of providing Ukraine with a portion of the aid on credit.

According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine is ready for any option that will unblock funding for aid from the United States.
