Zelenskyy aims to end war by 2025, says Ukraine’s foreign minister

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy aims to achieve a just peace in the full-scale war by 2025, states the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andriy Sybiha, during the "Ukraine. Year 2025" Forum.
As Sybiha noted, Ukraine has a chance to end the war this year.
"We have a chance during this difficult and turbulent period. We tell our partners that now is the time to fasten the diplomatic seatbelts. We must not succumb to emotions. I must emphasize our maximum mobilization of the diplomatic service aimed at achieving a just peace and ending this war this year, as set by the President of Ukraine," the minister stated.
Possible negotiations between Ukraine and Russia
As previously noted by the US Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and dictator Vladimir Putin should hold talks. He also remarked that the Kremlin's claims of the alleged illegitimacy of the Ukrainian leader would not work.
According to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, the Russian dictator must demonstrate that he genuinely does not wish to destroy Ukraine before any potential negotiations regarding the full-scale war.
At the same time, Zelenskyy does not believe Putin's statements regarding readiness for a ceasefire and considers that direct talks with him would turn into a "dialogue with a terrorist." He also asserted that the format of peace negotiations would depend on the plan to end the war.
