YouTube goes down worldwide, details revealed

A major YouTube outage on October 16, 2025, was reported by users worldwide, according to Downdetector, a website that tracks disruptions and outages of popular internet services.
According to the latest data, the most complaints came from the US - over 268,000 reports; the UK registered around 62,000, and Japan about 19,000.
Users reported issues with video playback, website access, and logging in.
