Winter Olympics 2026: Medal finals and key events on February 16

On Monday, February 16, five members of the Ukrainian team will compete in four sports at the arenas of the 2026 Winter Olympics. A total of six medal events will take place today.

Where and when Ukrainian athletes will compete
The competition day for Ukraine opens with alpine skier Dmytro Shepiuk, who will compete in the men’s slalom. The first run is scheduled for 11:00 AM (Kyiv time), and the second at 2:30 PM (based on the results of the first run).
In short track, Oleh Handei will race in the 500 meters. His qualifying heat starts at 12:17 PM.
In the evening program, there are two medal-contending events. In the women’s big air final, Kateryna Kotsar will compete. Her jumps are scheduled for 8:30 PM, 8:53 PM, and 9:17 PM.
Also, in the ski jumping superteam tournament, Yevhen Marusiak and Vitaliy Kalinichenko will compete. The first round starts at 8:00 PM, with subsequent rounds following based on previous results.

On February 16, a total of six medal events will take place at the Olympics. Champions and medalists will be determined in bobsleigh, alpine skiing, ski jumping, figure skating, freestyle, and short track.
