On the fifth day of the Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, 13 Ukrainian athletes will compete for medals. Fans can look forward to finals in luge, women’s biathlon, and the debut of Nordic combined athletes.

Ukraine’s contingent on the Italian slopes

Wednesday, February 11, promises to be one of the busiest days for the national team at the Olympics. Ukrainian athletes will compete in four sports disciplines.

Special attention is on the lugers: six athletes in men’s and women’s doubles will finish their fight for medals in the evening program.

Nordic combined specialists will also begin their tournament journey.

In addition, the women’s biathlon team leaders will start the individual race, and alpine skiers will test themselves in one of the fastest disciplines – the super-G.

Full schedule of Ukrainian athletes on February 11

All times are Kyiv time:

  • 11:00 AM (Kyiv time) – Nordic combined (ski jump): Dmytro Mazurchuk, Oleksandr Shumbarets

  • 12:30 PM – Alpine skiing (super-G): Dmytro Shep’yuk

  • 2:45 PM – Nordic combined (cross-country skiing, final): Dmytro Mazurchuk, Oleksandr Shumbarets

  • 3:15 PM – Biathlon (individual race, 15 km): Khrystyna Dmytrenko, Yuliia Dzhyma, Daryna Chalyk, Oleksandra Merkushyna

  • 6:00 PM – Luge (women’s doubles): Olena Stetskiv and Oleksandra Mok (final run at 7:53 PM)

  • 6:51 PM – Luge (men’s doubles): Ihor Hoi and Nazarii Kachmar, Danyil Martsinovskyi and Bohdan Babura (final run at 8:44 PM)
