White House announces sanctions against Russia over Navalny's death
The United States will impose a new package of sanctions against Russia this week over the death of politician Alexei Navalny, says John Kirby, White House National Security Council Coordinator, according to Voice of America journalist Mykhailo Komadovsky.
According to Kirby, the restrictions are planned to be announced this coming Friday.
A White House representative added that the sanctions package would be substantial.
Thus, the United States aims to hold Russia accountable for what happened to Navalny.
