You can improve the condition of blood vessels and maintain their health with the help of certain foods. It is advisable to incorporate them into your daily diet, according to a publication by the trainer Yurii Popko.

Which products strengthen blood vessels

"First and foremost among the products that strengthen blood vessels and improve their elasticity are dark green vegetables, berries, and fruits. Specifically, bell peppers and any greens like parsley, dill, and basil. Fruits are also valuable. For example, one kiwi contains the daily norm of vitamin C. I recommend buying Gold kiwis - they are yellow and without fuzz," says the expert.

Sauerkraut is also rich in vitamin C. Its advantage is that it is inexpensive and has a long shelf life. In 200-300 grams of this product, you can find the daily norm of vitamin C.

"Hypertensive patients should be careful with sauerkraut because an excess of salt raises blood pressure. Thanks to products rich in vitamin C and bioflavonoids, you strengthen the walls of your blood vessels and prevent them from being damaged by harmful foods," writes Popko.

Which products help cleanse blood vessels of cholesterol plaques

"There are products that not only strengthen blood vessels but also help cleanse them of cholesterol plaques. We are talking about onions, garlic, turmeric, and horseradish. These products have antibacterial properties and bioflavonoids - a group of substances that maintain the elasticity of capillaries and strengthen their walls," explains the expert.

These products also contain essential oils and minerals that contribute to vessel cleansing.

"For those who cannot eat raw onions or garlic, you can choose quality dietary supplements from a reputable manufacturer," advises Popko.

The expert also shared a list of products that restore cell membranes and the epithelial layer. These are Omega-3 products. This category includes seafood, such as mackerel and herring, as well as eggs, cod liver, and oil derived from it.

"Another beneficial product to emphasize is pomegranate. But choose the whole fruit, not its juice. Also, avoid eating it excessively daily because it contains a lot of natural sugar," adds the trainer.
