Western components found in DPRK missile used by Russia to attack Ukraine
Recently, air defense forces shot down a North Korean KN-23/24 missile over Ukraine, which was used by Russia to attack our country. Western components were found in it, states Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.
“Outrageous. Recent examination of a North Korean KN-23/24 missile shot down in Ukraine found numerous recently produced Western-made components,” Sybiha wrote.
He added that Russian leader Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un still have access to them (Western components). In this regard, the Ukrainian side calls on the West to react.
“We urge allies to respond strongly, tighten sanctions & export controls, boost our air shield,” the minister summarized.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that North Korea may have deployed its troops alongside Russian troops in Ukraine. The Guardian suggested that the North Koreans may be helping them launch KN-23 missiles.
