Nawrocki and Tusk clash publicly over territory

Poland is ready to lose territory, but it will never lose its soul or homeland, according to Polish President Karol Nawrocki.
The Polish president addressed his fellow citizens with an emotional message about national unity.
"We are a nation that may lose territory, but we will never lose our soul; we may surrender territory, but we will never surrender our Homeland," Nawrocki said.
The speech took place in the city of Włodawa, located in eastern Poland near the border with Belarus.
Updated. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk responded to Nawrocki's statement about territory.
"Mr. President, I suggest deleting this post. We do not intend to give up even a scrap of our territory," Tusk wrote in a post.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump said that the United States had made significant progress toward establishing its own military base in Poland.
According to him, the exact location of the base will be announced soon, and he linked the progress in negotiations to the determination of Polish President Karol Nawrocki.
Earlier, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk urgently convened ministers along with government, military and intelligence officials after Russian strikes hit the Yahodyn railway station near the Polish border.
At the time, Tusk warned that the coming months would be a period of intensive Russian activity and did not rule out the possibility that the escalation could affect Polish territory.
