Usyk addresses Dubois: British boxer responds quickly

Oleksandr Usyk will have a rematch with Daniel Dubois on July 19, 2025, at the legendary Wembley Stadium in London. All the major titles are on the line: WBC, WBA, WBO, and IBF. The Ukrainian has already made his first statement before the fight, The Ring magazine reports.
What Usyk says to Dubois
"I'm grateful to God for the opportunity to once again fight for the undisputed championship. Thank you, Daniel, for taking care of my IBF belt - now I want it back," Usyk said after the official announcement of the fight date.
These words from our champion did not go unanswered.
The British boxer stated that he is determined and threatened Usyk.
"This is the fight I wanted and demanded and now I get my chance for revenge against Oleksandr Usyk. I should have won the first fight and was denied by the judgement of the referee, so I will make no mistake this time around in front of my people at the national stadium in my home city. I am a superior and more dangerous fighter now and Usyk will find this out for himself on July 19," said Dubois.
History of Usyk-Dubois rivalry
The first fight between the two boxers took place in August 2023 in Wroclaw. Usyk won by technical knockout in the ninth round.
However, that fight was surrounded by controversy - in the fifth round, Dubois knocked Usyk down with a body shot, which the referee ruled as a "low blow" and gave the Ukrainian time to recover.
After the loss, Dubois' team attempted to challenge the result, but their appeal was rejected.
Since then, both fighters have continued their careers. Usyk defeated Tyson Fury in May 2024 and gathered all the heavyweight titles, becoming the first undisputed champion in the four-title era.
Dubois, on the other hand, rehabilitated himself after the defeat, securing victories over Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgović, and Anthony Joshua, which allowed him to win the IBF title.
Usyk-Dubois rematch
The July 19 fight, organized by the Riyadh Season team, is expected to draw more than 90,000 spectators, and the fight itself will be one of the most significant in modern boxing history.
At stake in this fight will be all the major heavyweight championship titles: the WBC, WBA, WBO, and Ring magazine belts, which belong to Usyk, as well as the IBF title, which is currently held by Dubois.
Thus, the fight will determine the undisputed world heavyweight champion.
