US President Donald Trump has purchased at least 82 million in corporate bonds in recent months, investing in companies and sectors that could benefit from his own policy decisions, according to Reuters.

According to newly disclosed financial filings, US President Donald Trump has purchased at least 82 million in corporate and municipal bonds between late August and early October. Documents filed with the Office of Government Ethics show the president executed more than 175 financial transactions during that period.

The reports do not list exact amounts for each purchase, but the total upper estimate of the transactions could exceed 337 million dollars. Most of the bonds acquired are issued by municipalities, states, school districts, as well as corporations whose businesses may directly or indirectly benefit from the policy priorities of the Trump administration.

Among the companies whose bonds were purchased are semiconductor makers such as Broadcom and Qualcomm, tech giant Meta Platforms, major retail firms including Home Depot and CVS Health, and leading financial institutions like Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley.

Particular attention has been drawn to Trump’s purchase of bonds from Intel Corporation, coming shortly after the US government, under his policies, acquired a stake in the company.

The White House has not commented on the transactions. The administration has previously stated that Trump placed his business assets in a trust managed by his children and does not personally oversee the investment portfolio.

The deals have raised concerns among analysts over potential conflicts of interest, as the president’s investments are tied to sectors that stand to gain from his administration’s policy decisions.

Trump has also vowed to make the United States a global "bitcoin superpower" and the world’s leading crypto hub.
