US imposes sanctions on countries that help Russia in war
The United States has imposed sanctions on 275 individuals and organizations aiding Russia in supplying advanced technologies and equipment. The updated list also includes 20 Russians, citing the US Treasury Department.
According to the Treasury, today's measures target not only specific entities but also complex sanctions-evasion networks operating across 17 jurisdictions, including India, the People's Republic of China, Switzerland, Thailand, and Türkiye.
The US sanctions list includes Russian Deputy Defense Ministers Anna Tsivilova, Pavel Fradkov, Alexander Fomin, Viktor Goremykin, and Andrey Bulyga.
Restrictions are also being applied to Kirill Lipa, head of Transmashholding JSC, the Rosatom subsidiary "Rosatom Infrastructure Solutions JSC, Zvezda R&D, Angstrem JSC, and tire manufacturer Cordiant.
The US Department of Commerce has added approximately 40 foreign companies to the restrictions list and expanded controls over nearly 50 other organizations to limit illicit flows of sensitive goods to Russia.
US sanctions against Russia
Late this summer, the United States expanded its sanctions against Russia, impacting the defense and metallurgy sectors, as well as the supply of dual-use goods.
Additionally, the US introduced a new sanctions package targeting nearly 400 individuals and entities in Russia and beyond, including Asia and Europe. These restrictions apply to Russian metal products.
In September, the US further expanded sanctions against the Russian Federation, targeting virtual financial transactions.
