US government allows transfer of thousands of aerial bombs to Israel - Reuters
The US has approved the provision of thousands of additional air bombs to Israel. They will be delivered no earlier than next year, according to Reuters.
An unnamed official told Reuters that the approved transfer includes 1000 MK82 bombs weighing over 200 kg, over 1000 small diameter bombs, and fuses for MK80 bombs.
Journalists write that the US continues to provide arms to Israel despite growing criticism of the war in the Gaza Strip.
According to Reuters, the decision to transfer air bombs was made on Monday, April 1, when Israel struck the Gaza Strip, killing employees of the humanitarian organization World Central Kitchen (WCK).
Reuters sources assure that the strike occurred after the US government made the decision on air bombs.
What preceded it
On April 2, it became known that four employees of the World Central Kitchen (WCK) - a Briton, a Pole, an Australian, and their Palestinian driver - were killed in the Gaza Strip.
According to the Hamas Ministry of Health, this was the result of an Israeli airstrike on their vehicle.
