On August 9, Ukrainian scouts destroyed a Russian fast boat named Tuna (Tunets) in Crimea. The vessel was hit by a MAGURA V5 marine drone, reports the Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR).

On the night of August 8-9, near the settlement of Chornomorske in temporarily occupied Crimea, members of the Ukrainian HUR special unit Group 13 destroyed another Russian occupiers' vessel — a fast boat of the KS 701 Tuna type — using a MAGURA V5 strike marine drone.

According to the scouts, the operation also damaged three other enemy vessels. Their type is being determined.

Not the first case

The HUR reports that this is not the first Tuna targeted near the peninsula's shores. Previously, scouts destroyed two Russian Tuna boats and damaged another two in May of this year.

The fast transport and landing boats of the KS 701 project were used by the occupiers in occupied Crimea for patrolling and logistics.

In total, Ukrainian-made MAGURA V5 marine drones have successfully hit 18 Russian vessels, with 9 of them being destroyed.
