Ukrainian partisans disrupt power at Russian plant tied to Iskander missile production

The partisan movement Atesh carried out an act of sabotage at an electrical substation near the VZPP-Sborka plant in Russiaєs Voronezh. The facility produces key components for Kh-101 and Iskander-K missiles, as well as Pantsir-S1 air defense systems.
According to the statement, an Atesh agent had been studying the facility for a long time, carefully planning the operation and looking for weaknesses in its security.
Eventually, the agent managed to infiltrate the electrical substation near the plant while bypassing security. There, he destroyed the main distribution cabinet supplying power to the facility before safely leaving the city.
VZPP-Sborka is one of the key producers of component parts for Russian military missiles.
The plant manufactures integrated circuits, power switches, and power supply units for the onboard computers and navigation systems of Kh-101 missiles; automation and control unit components for Iskander-K missiles; and semiconductors for the radars and fire-control systems of the Pantsir-S1 surface-to-air missile and gun system.

The strike caused a sharp voltage surge and cut power to the plant's workshops. It took weeks to fully restore the facility’s power supply. During that time, deliveries of key components for the aforementioned systems were delayed, directly disrupting the production of the missiles and air defense systems themselves.
Earlier, Atesh partisans also claimed to have infiltrated another strategic facility, the Fiolent plant in occupied Simferopol, where they managed to gather information about the facility’s links to Russia's military-industrial complex.
In addition, the movement's agents previously disabled two relay cabinets on a railway line in Russia’s Belgorod region, which the Russian military reportedly planned to use to transport ammunition and engineering equipment toward the Kupiansk sector.
The movement also reported that several Russian regions are preparing training grounds for a possible new wave of mobilization, with inspections being carried out to assess their readiness to accommodate large numbers of people.
